**The** most unique candle idea I've seen...

Y'all know how much I love the right candle, and I'm super picky about them, so you will understand how excited I was to find one of my childhood friends selling some very unique candles at Illuminations Vintage.
When I saw that she pours them into vintage containers, I *had* to try one, and picked up my first one over the weekend.

Fall in the mountains

There is something special about fall in the mountains, even when it's late. And nowhere is autumn more beautiful than Balsam Mountain Preserve. Here are more of the outdoor areas I got to add my touch to -- starting with the main entrance.

Fall at the Boarding House

Wow, it just seems like summer wanted to hold on forever here in the mountains, which is so unusual, but finally things are cooling down enough to give us true fall-like weather. 
As I've done the last two years, I got to add some fall magic throughout Balsam Mountain Preserve, so I thought I'd show y'all the Boarding House first.
