I love Fall. I just cannot wait for it every year. This year, it seemed to take forever -- as if the leaves were *never* going to change. Then, overnight, the color seemed to come from nowhere -- more brilliant than I have ever seen here.

The *best* candles for the season
I am a lover of candles, and I am also extremely picky about the quality. I have loved Folky Art Candles from the very first time I lit one up and have never been disappointed. They are hands down my favorite.

Bohemian chic Autumn
There are so many aspects of Bohemian chic style that appeal to me--from well-traveled accessories, Turkish kilims, and Native American art, to plants, vintage finds, mid-century furniture and my favorite -- color. It's kind of like a smorgasbord of all my favorite design elements -- and then some.

The bright side of fall
If I could choose only one word to describe fall, it would be "vibrant." For me, autumn is seriously an overload for the senses, and I love embracing that feeling inside my home as well.

Welcoming Autumn alfresco
Oh the joy of autumn in the North Carolina mountains! I always look forward to the transition from hazy summer days to clear, Carolina blue skies, vibrant color and crisp, cool nights.
It's the perfect time to get back out on the porch, as the noon day sun that has beat down on our table all summer, finally shifts and is filtered by the changing leaves.

Fall outside the box
I am definitely taking an outside the box approach to Autumn this year. And I mean that literally if you know my "box" story. In any case, I wanted to change things up and go opposite of all the trends and do what speaks to my heart. What's new? I knew I wanted color and lots of it, but not typical fall colors. I started by making this rustic centerpiece for my dining table.
