My grandmother's lilacs are in bloom so I put together a tablescape with vintage china that has been in my great grandmother's china cabinet for at least 50-70 years.

A week of Spring in the country
I thought I would share with you all what I have shared on my facebook page this week in case you missed it.
First up...my "Thrift" is absolutely gorgeous this year and smells so fragrant. Some call it "Creeping Phlox," but here in the south, most people call it "Thrift."

Spring pink and blue
I don't think I have ever loved pink and blue more than I do right now. I had that red phase, but honestly I really have loved pink and blue since I was a little girl. These 1950s shades are my favorite and they seem to be pretty popular too.
These are vintage cars my dad put together...

Saving the antique iron bed...
Hi everyone! I shared on my facebook page a few weeks ago a photo of the antique iron bed I had found here on the property. I have been wanting to restore it forever it seems, but didn't get to it until last week.

Plastic dishes and a flatware tip
Sometimes people tell me they don't have the right dishes to set a pretty table. But you really can set a pretty table with what you have and to prove my point, I'm going to use Melmac. That's right...plastic melmac.

A little sewing...
Hi everyone...
Instead of sewing window treatments or pillows, I made Easter dresses for my daughters on Good Friday. They each picked out a dress online they liked and we worked together to adapt them to each girl's taste.

Ruffles, burlap and lace
A couple weeks ago I shared on my facebook page a peek at some slipcovers I had made for my Duncan Phyfe chairs, so I thought I would share them here.
